What Type of Floors Are Available?

Solid Wood: Homes and Floors offers solid hardwoods in oak, walnut, teak and merbau. Although the most expensive type of flooring the 18-22mm thickness means it will last for many decades and can be sanded down and refinished many many times.

Engineered Wood: Engineered oak wood flooring is the most popular modern hardwood floor. Typically comprised of a multiply or 3-ply board the oak veneer ranges from 2mm to 6mm. These floors are structurally more stable than solid wood and are compatible with underfloor heating.

LVT: Luxury vinyl flooring comes in two formats. A rigid core (usually SPC or WPC) click plank/tile or flexible glue down LVT. Both forms are waterproof and highly durable.

Laminate: Laminate wood flooring is a click board comprised of HDF with a wood effect print laminated on the surface. This is the most inexpensive floorboard option and is a great option for a limited budget. Easy to clean and highly stain and scratch resistant.
