Solene Oval Solitaire

An elongated oval moissanite on a plain tapered band. The stone is set east-west along the finger rather than across it, which makes the hand look longer and keeps the profile low enough to wear under a glove.

The four claws are shaped rather than round, so they read as part of the setting instead of sitting on top of it. Underneath, the basket is open — that is what lets light through the stone from below, and it is also what makes the ring easy to clean.

The stone. Moissanite is silicon carbide, grown in a laboratory. It is not a diamond and we do not sell it as one. It is harder than sapphire, disperses more light than diamond, and costs a fraction of a diamond of the same size — which is the honest reason to choose it.

Wearing it. An oval this size sits well next to a plain wedding band. If you plan to wear the two together, order the same finger size for both.
