Verre Emerald Cut Ring

An emerald cut is a step cut, not a brilliant: instead of hundreds of small facets throwing light back at you, it has long parallel planes that behave more like a hall of mirrors. It flashes less and glows more, and it shows clarity honestly — which is why we only use it with stones we are willing to state the grade of.

Set in four corner claws on a plain band, with an open gallery so the stone can be seen from the side.

The stone. A lab-grown diamond — chemically and optically the same material as a mined diamond, grown rather than extracted. Grade stated below; certificate reference is listed on every stone above one carat.

Wearing it. The long shape sits flat and suits a straight wedding band. Because a step cut hides less, keep it clean; a film of hand cream dulls it faster than it would a brilliant.
