Questions about this floor
Can Marlow Solid Merbau Parquet Blocks be used with underfloor heating?
No — the specification for this floor records underfloor heating as Not Compatible. Choose a range that states compatibility rather than assuming it, because a heating cycle moves a floor that was not built for it.
What size are the boards?
Each board or tile measures 18mm x 70mm x 280mm. The edge detail is Square Edge, which is what you see where two boards meet. Measure the room and add a waste allowance before ordering — your fitter will give you the figure for your room shape.
How much does one box cover?
One box covers 0.588 Square Metres. Work out your room area first, then add the waste allowance, and order in whole boxes — a part box cannot be ordered and a short delivery stops a fit.
What warranty does it carry?
This floor carries a 20 Years. A warranty rests on the floor being laid and looked after as the manufacturer specifies, so keep the fitting notes and the subfloor readings with your paperwork.
Can I see it before I order?
Order a cut sample for £1.99 and look at it in the room it is for, at the hour you actually use that room. Grain and tone shift under artificial light, and no photograph carries that.
