Product details
Victorian Antique White Oak is the pale end of the antique range: engineered European oak, 15 mm thick, 220 mm wide, 2200 mm long, with a 4 mm wear layer, Antique Effect grade, deep brushed and finished with a white-pigmented hard wax oil.
Read the full description
The pigment settles into the open, brushed grain, so the figure of the oak shows as fine pale lines against a chalky ground.
A white oiled floor is maintained with the manufacturer's white maintenance oil, not a clear one, which would darken the patch it touched. Beyond that the routine is the one for every oiled floor: low-moisture cleaning and local re-oiling where the traffic is. The board is tongue and groove with a micro-bevelled edge, listed as compatible with underfloor heating, and a box of six boards covers 2.904 square metres; the manufacturer's warranty is 15 years.
It suits coastal schemes, converted barns and any large room with white walls that wants a pale floor with texture. The smooth version of the colour is the Weybridge White Oiled Oak at 190 mm wide; the cool alternative with the same deep brushed surface is the Victorian Antique Smoked Grey Oak in the same format.
Built for busy floors.
