Owner occupation has slipped from 67.2% in 2011 to 63.9%, while private renting has moved up to 21.3%. In a let it is the hall and the kitchen that take the wear, and they should be specified for it even if the bedrooms are kept simple. A hard surface layer through those two rooms outlasts a deeper, softer board everywhere.
