8mm Laminate Alto is the darkest board in the laminate range, listed under the dark browns: 8 mm thick on an HDF core, 193 mm by 1204 mm, click-fitted, micro-bevelled, rated AC4. It is the floor for a dining room or a study that wants a dark, formal ground.

The AC4 rating is the class for busy domestic use, and it is what lets a dark laminate go in a hallway without the surface dulling at the door. The board floats over an underlay on a flat, dry subfloor, needs an expansion gap, and is listed as compatible with underfloor heating; it is cleaned with a damp mop. A box of 10 boards covers 2.32 square metres; 25 year manufacturer's warranty.
