For the same pattern in a kitchen, the herringbone rigid-vinyl range is the click alternative; there is no chevron in vinyl in the range.

Kent's Maidstone district spans ME14, ME15 and ME16, taking in High Street, Fant & Oakwood, Allington & Bridge, Grove Green & Vinters Park, Bearsted & Downswood, Coxheath & Farleigh, Loose & Linton, Boxley Downs and the rural wards of Marden & Yalding and Harrietsham, Lenham & North Downs. Owner occupation stands at 67.4%, down from 70.5% in 2011, and the stock divides 33.3% semi-detached to 25.9% detached. Outlying and village property is generally older and less regular underfoot: floors that slope, or step between rooms, are normal rather than a defect, and measuring levels before ordering prevents trims that will never sit flat. Herringbone is the traditional zig-zag and forgives a squarer room; chevron is the continuous arrow and wants a room with length. Chevron blocks are mitred, so the setting-out is less forgiving and the border matters more. The comparison guide takes it further.
Both Knightsbridge Chevron boards are engineered, 14 mm thick, and listed for underfloor heating, on a screed that is dry and a system that has been commissioned first.
The oak chevron is for dry rooms. For a patterned floor in a kitchen the rigid-vinyl herringbone, listed as waterproof, is the range to look at; there is no vinyl chevron in the range.
