The oak chevron is for dry rooms. For a patterned floor in a kitchen the rigid-vinyl herringbone, listed as waterproof, is the range to look at; there is no vinyl chevron in the range.
For a let on these estates, the underlay is where skimping shows first: it takes up small differences in the screed and deadens footfall in a house with thin partitions. Spend there, choose a mid-range click floor above it, and keep spare planks in the loft.
