Windsor Solid Smoked Oak is a smoked, brushed and matt lacquered solid board at the widest solid width: 18 mm of solid European oak, 150 mm wide in random lengths, Rustic grade. Smoking carries the colour into the oak rather than laying it on top, so the tone reads even and deliberate, and the Rustic grade keeps the knots and variation that suit it.

Brushed and matt lacquered is the practical surface for a dark solid board: the texture hides dust and fine scratches, the matt film avoids reflections, and the lacquer wipes clean. When it has worn, the floor is refinished as a whole, which solid oak allows repeatedly. Dry subfloor and acclimatisation first. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, not listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box covers 1.44 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 20 years.
