They lay as herringbone, double herringbone or brick bond, glued to a flat, dry subfloor, and the Rustic grade gives the pattern the knots and colour play that a traditional parquet floor carries.

The matt lacquer arrives finished and wipes clean; brushing hides fine scratches in the grain; and because the blocks are solid oak, the floor can be sanded flat and refinished as a whole many times over its life. Subfloor moisture and acclimatisation decide whether a glued solid floor stays flat. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, not listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box covers 1.08 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 20 years.
