For the same pattern in a kitchen, the herringbone rigid-vinyl range is the click alternative; there is no chevron in vinyl in the range.

The oak chevron is for dry rooms. For a patterned floor in a kitchen the rigid-vinyl herringbone, listed as waterproof, is the range to look at; there is no vinyl chevron in the range.
On this coast the wind is dry and sandy rather than mild, and fine sand is abrasive. It collects along a bevelled edge and grinds at the finish there, so a square-edged board with a textured surface, plus deep matting at the door, holds up better near the front.
