The Knightsbridge Chevron comes in two faces, Knightsbridge Chevron Natural Brushed Oak and Knightsbridge Chevron Raw Oak, both 14 x 90 x 510 mm, tongue and groove, engineered, with a 3 mm wear layer and listed for underfloor heating. For the same pattern in a kitchen, the herringbone rigid-vinyl range is the click alternative; there is no chevron in vinyl in the range.

Lancaster in the 2021 census: 59,980 households, 83% houses, 16% flats.
Social renting is thin here at 10.3%, well under the 21.7% renting privately and the 67.1% owned outright or on a mortgage. LA1, LA3 and LA4 run from Castle and Bowerham out to Bare, Poulton, Marsh and the three Heysham wards, within Lancashire. Where occupiers stay for decades, refinishable surfaces earn their price: solid oak takes several sandings across its life where a thin veneer gets one chance at best. The 1.1% recorded as caravans or other mobile structures is a real exception in Lancaster terms, because those decks carry a load limit; thick stone or ceramic is the wrong answer there and a flexible, thin-profile covering the right one.
The city runs from the stone terraces of Castle and Bulk down to Heysham and the seafront at Bare, with two thirds of households owning and relatively little social housing. A good deal of the older housing still has its original floorboards under whatever was laid on top of them in the decades since.
Wide, dense boards of that period can often be lifted, cleaned, repaired where they are split and sanded back, and the result has a depth a new floor takes decades to acquire. Where they are thin or heavily cut about for pipework, that route closes.

Herringbone is the traditional zig-zag and forgives a squarer room; chevron is the continuous arrow and wants a room with length. Chevron blocks are mitred, so the setting-out is less forgiving and the border matters more. The comparison guide takes it further.
Both Knightsbridge Chevron boards are engineered, 14 mm thick, and listed for underfloor heating, on a screed that is dry and a system that has been commissioned first.
The oak chevron is for dry rooms. For a patterned floor in a kitchen the rigid-vinyl herringbone, listed as waterproof, is the range to look at; there is no vinyl chevron in the range.
