Nottingham's homes, by the numbers

Nottingham in the 2021 census: 124,745 households, 76% houses, 24% flats.

More than a quarter of Nottingham's houses are over a hundred years old and more than half are over fifty, with roughly a quarter built before 1930. The Victorian and Edwardian stock in Sherwood, Mapperley and the Arboretum area is suspended timber at ground level; the inter-war and post-war estates further out are solid slab.
