The oak chevron is for dry rooms. For a patterned floor in a kitchen the rigid-vinyl herringbone, listed as waterproof, is the range to look at; there is no vinyl chevron in the range.
A Regency townhouse at Montpellier takes herringbone well, with two conditions. Herringbone needs a flat subfloor, because the pattern shows every dip, and it produces more offcuts than a plank floor, so the quantity ordered has to allow for that. Set out from the room's centre line, not from a wall.
