BL1, BL2, BL3 and BL4 form the core of the delivery area, running through Halliwell, Great Lever, Breightmet, Farnworth North and Little Lever & Darcy Lever. Houses make up 86.6% of the stock, 35.9% semi-detached and 33.2% terraced, and flats only 13.3%. Most work here is therefore whole-property work, with stairs, hallways and a ground floor to match, rather than single-room jobs inside a block. Terraced ground floors tend to be suspended timber over a void, where ventilation to that void matters as much as the covering itself, and levelling the deck beats trusting a thick underlay to disguise a dip. Ownership runs at 61.5% and social renting at 19.8%.
Terraces make up a third of Bolton's homes, concentrated at Great Lever, Halliwell, Farnworth and Breightmet, alongside a large share of semis at Bradshaw, Heaton and Bromley Cross.
