Windsor Solid Golden Brown Hand Scraped sits between the golden and the coffee hand scraped boards: 18 mm of solid European oak, 125 mm wide in random lengths, Rustic grade, hand scraped and UV lacquered. The golden brown tone is warm without being pale, and the scraped surface gives it the character of an old floor.

Hand scraping hides small marks in its undulation, the lacquer wipes clean, and the solid oak beneath can be sanded and refinished for decades. Solid oak moves with humidity, so the subfloor must be dry and the boards acclimatised before laying; the board is tongue and groove with a micro-bevel and not listed as compatible with underfloor heating. Each box covers 1.2 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 20 years.
The Windsor Solid Golden Hand Scraped is a shade lighter and the Coffee Hand Scraped a shade darker, all in the same width and surface. For a similar warm brown on a heated floor, the engineered Weybridge Hazelnut Oak.
