Oxford Herringbone Dark Brown Oak is the warm dark block of the finer Oxford size: a 14 mm engineered European oak block, 90 mm by 450 mm, brushed and UV oiled over a 3 mm wear layer, Classic grade. A dark herringbone reads as a formal floor, and the brushed, oiled surface keeps it from showing the dust and scratches a smooth dark floor would.

The oil is re-applied locally with the manufacturer's maintenance oil where a run of blocks has worn, and the texture hides small marks between times. A dark patterned floor needs a room with good daylight or warm artificial light. The blocks are tongue and groove with a micro-bevel, listed as compatible with underfloor heating, and boxed 48 at a time for 1.944 square metres; the manufacturer's warranty is 15 years.
The Oxford Fumed Oak block is the cooler, greyer dark tone in the same size and surface; the Oxford Antique Brown at 125 mm by 600 mm is the dark tone with an aged, deep brushed surface. For the same warm dark oak in a plank, the Weybridge Hazelnut Oak.
