Oxford Herringbone Oak Lacquered is the smooth, UV lacquered natural oak block in the finer Oxford size: engineered European oak, 14 mm thick, 90 mm wide and 450 mm long, Classic grade, with a 3 mm wear layer. Smooth and lacquered is the cleanest, most formal herringbone, the look of a sanded and sealed parquet in a Georgian drawing room.

A smooth lacquer is the hardest wearing surface against abrasion and shows fine scratches most readily, so it suits living rooms and dining rooms with felt pads under the furniture. It is wiped clean and refinished as a whole floor when the film has worn. Tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box of 48 blocks covers 1.944 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty is 15 years.
For the same natural oak with a brushed, oiled surface that hides marks, the Oxford Brushed UV Oiled block in the same size. For a smooth, lacquered floor in a plank rather than a pattern, the Cobham Natural Oak UV Lacquered board at 150 mm.
