BML White Oak Wide is a pale, whitened oak plank in the wide rigid vinyl format: 6.5 mm thick, 228 mm by 1524 mm, textured, micro-bevelled, click-fitted. The colour is listed as light oak, the near-white of a limed board, and the width makes it the plank for a bright, open room.

A white floor is chosen for the light it gives and rejected for the marks it shows; the plank itself is waterproof and the surface is mopped, which takes most of the objection away. With a 0.55 mm wear layer, an attached underlay and a click joint, it is a floating floor for a flat, dry subfloor. Commercial grade and listed as compatible with underfloor heating; 5 boards to the box, 1.74 square metres; 25 year manufacturer's warranty.

The BML Ash Wide and BML Poplar Wide are the other pale boards in the same format; the BML Herringbone American White Oak lays a similar white as parquet. For a white oak on a dry floor, the engineered Weybridge Whitewashed Oak and Victorian Antique White Oak boards.
