The invisible lacquer keeps the pale, sanded colour of the oak without the amber cast a conventional lacquer adds, and the Classic grade keeps the boards calm and even.

The finish is the same invisible matt lacquer as the Oxford Light Oak blocks: it is cleaned like a lacquer, with a damp cloth and no oil, and the brushed texture under it takes the small marks a smooth pale board would show. A worn floor is sanded and refinished as a whole. The board is tongue and groove with a micro-bevelled edge and listed as compatible with underfloor heating; a box covers 1.44 square metres, and the manufacturer's warranty runs 15 years.
