The 6 mm wear layer is the reason to choose this board over the 14 mm antique boards in the same colour: it is the depth available for sanding and re-oiling over decades, and it comes with the range's longer 20 year manufacturer's warranty. The hard wax oil is maintained locally; the board is tongue and groove, micro-bevelled, and listed as compatible with underfloor heating. A box covers 1.805 square metres.
