BML Dark Oak Wide is the dark plank of the wide rigid vinyl range: 6.5 mm SPC, 228 mm by 1524 mm, click-fitted, with a textured surface and micro-bevelled edges. The colour is listed as dark oak, a deep stained brown, and the wide format keeps a dark floor from looking busy.

Dark floors show water spots, so this one belongs in a kitchen or a living room more than in a bathroom; in the kitchen it earns its place because the plank itself is waterproof. Above the print sits a 0.55 mm wear layer, beneath the core an attached underlay, and the boards are clicked together into a floating floor on a subfloor that is flat and dry. It is commercial grade and listed as compatible with underfloor heating. Five boards make a box of 1.74 square metres; the manufacturer's warranty is 25 years.
