Product details

12mm Canterbury Oak Laminate Herringbone Flooring is a greige oak decor, listed under the greys and under the beige and light browns because it sits between the two. The blocks are 12 mm thick, 100 mm wide and 600 mm long, on an HDF core, with a registered embossed face that brings out the grain.

Read the full description

Unlike the other blocks in this format, its edges are micro-bevelled rather than fully bevelled, so the joints show less and the herringbone reads as a calmer, more continuous surface. Greige works with both warm and cool rooms: oak furniture, linen, stone-coloured walls or grey cabinets. The click profile allows a floating installation over an underlay, on a subfloor that is flat and dry, with an expansion gap at the walls; it is listed as compatible with underfloor heating, and its AC4 class suits living rooms, halls and bedrooms. Packed 32 blocks to a box, it gives 1.92 square metres per box and 92.16 square metres on a pallet of 48 boxes.

For a wet room, choose a rigid vinyl block rather than laminate; the BML Herringbone Smoked Limed Oak comes closest to this muted tone. Within the laminate herringbones, the 12mm Durham Oak is the cooler grey and the 12mm Whitby Oak the lighter natural decor.

Questions about this floor

Can 12mm Canterbury Oak Laminate Herringbone Flooring be used with underfloor heating?
Yes — the specification for this floor records underfloor heating as Compatible. Check the maximum surface temperature your system runs at before ordering, and follow the manufacturer's commissioning sequence for the first heating cycle.
What size are the boards?
Each board or tile measures 12mm x 100mm x 600mm. The edge detail is Micro-bevelled, which is what you see where two boards meet. Measure the room and add a waste allowance before ordering — your fitter will give you the figure for your room shape.
How much does one box cover?
One box covers 1.92 Square Metres. Work out your room area first, then add the waste allowance, and order in whole boxes — a part box cannot be ordered and a short delivery stops a fit.
What warranty does it carry?
This floor carries a 15 Years. A warranty rests on the floor being laid and looked after as the manufacturer specifies, so keep the fitting notes and the subfloor readings with your paperwork.
Can I see it before I order?
Order a cut sample for £1.99 and look at it in the room it is for, at the hour you actually use that room. Grain and tone shift under artificial light, and no photograph carries that.
