Each new underfloor heating system in those homes should be run through a full heating and cooling cycle before the covering goes down, so that the screed does its moving first and the floor does not do it afterwards.
The larger schemes bring the same rule at scale. The Aire Valley Leeds Area Action Plan allocates housing sites with an estimated capacity of 7,855 homes, against a minimum of 6,500. On a development with heated screeds the cycle is drying first and commissioning second, and a floor laid before both are finished inherits whatever movement is left.
